Buying and selling crypto in Smartable happen with a third-party provider. The app names the provider before you continue, and you complete checkout, payment and any identity check on the provider's side. Smartable never receives your card or bank details.
What you pay
- The provider's fee and exchange rate. Both are set by the provider and shown in its checkout before you confirm. A rate can include a margin that no fee line names, so compare what you actually receive — the amount of crypto, or the payout — rather than the fee alone.
- A network fee. Moving crypto on a network costs a fee on that network. For a sale, you send the crypto to the provider from Smartable yourself, and that send pays its network fee like any other.
- Nothing to Smartable. Smartable adds no fee to buying or selling. Its own fee applies only to swaps and cross-chain routes, and is shown in their review before you confirm.
Before you continue
The handoff screen shows which asset you are buying and the address it will be delivered to. Check that the address is yours and the network is the one you want. Once you are in the provider's checkout, its terms apply.
Availability varies by provider, asset, network, country and payment method — see not available where I am.
What the app shows
- “Availability, identity checks, fees and limits are set by the provider.”
Security note
Never share your recovery phrase, private key, password or device PIN. Smartable will never ask for them or ask you to sign a transaction to “verify” or “recover” your wallet.
