The wallet shows assets it can recognise on the networks you hold. A token that never made it onto a list — or one that is too new — will not appear on its own, even though the balance is there on the chain.
Adding it
Tap Add a token at the end of your assets list. Choose the network under Search on, then search by name or symbol — or paste the contract address. Smartable reads the name, symbol and decimals from the contract itself and shows them before you add it.
Searching by name is a convenience, not proof: a search can return several tokens with the same name, and only one of them is real. When it matters, paste the contract address from a source you trust — the project's own site or documentation, or an explorer page you reached yourself. Never take a contract address from a message, an airdrop token's name, or a search advertisement. Names can be copied exactly; contracts cannot.
If a real token is too new to be listed, pasting its address still works: Smartable reads the contract directly.
Why the name is not enough
Dozens of contracts can call themselves USDC. Exactly one on each chain is the real one. This is why the wallet identifies assets by contract and marks anything unrecognised as unverified rather than trusting what a token says about itself.
Not on EVM
Add token works on EVM networks. On other networks, the tokens Smartable supports come with the app itself, rather than through this screen.
What the app shows
- “Anyone can deploy a token using a familiar name. Verify the address from a source you trust.”
Security note
Never share your recovery phrase, private key, password or device PIN. Smartable will never ask for them or ask you to sign a transaction to “verify” or “recover” your wallet.
